STUDIO TIME IS NOT JUST THE TIME YOU ARE SHOOTING, IT’S THE TOTAL TIME YOU ARE IN THE STUDIO.

The total time of rental is the time you arrive at the studio or the booking time (whichever is earlier) to the time you have left the studio. This includes setup time and breakdown. If you are not out of the studio by the end of your booking, we have to charge for that, and it’s done in 1/2hr increments at 1.5X the rate. This has to be clarified because we may have a booking happening exactly at the time your booking ends, and if you are not out, you screw up the schedule for people after you. So if you think you need 4 hours of shooting time, book 5 hours to allow 30 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown. 

If you’re running more than 30 mins late and don’t provide any prior communication we have the right to consider you a “no-show” after the 30 mins grace period.

Please notify us with the total amount of crew, exact dates and number of hours required for your shoot with govt IDs. Please be upfront about the type of shoot/production you’re planning and we will do our best to accommodate. (photo/video/music video etc.) The more info you can provide the better we can prepare! 

All renters must return the studio in the condition it was when you arrived. We encourage you to play but please be mindful when moving props! There is a re-setting fee of Rs. 2,000 if the condition you have left the studio in at the completion of your booking does not meet our standards. All equipment/props/backdrops must be returned to their original place within the booking time. You will be charged for any damages, missing items and extra cleaning services. The amount shall be determined by the company representative on sets as per the condition of set and degree of damage. 

No Grip tape is allowed on the floors, walls, or any other area in the studio. We only use Paper/Masking tape. If any stains/marks are left behind, the renter is liable to pay for damages.

Pets are not allowed without prior notice. Fees apply to any cleaning attributing to any animal. 

The facility is equipped with cameras for security purposes. There are no security cameras in the bathroom or the changing room. Live footage is being recorded 24/7. Playback will only be used if there is damage or theft (chargeable).

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO. If someone breaks the rules THERE WILL BE AN AUTOMATIC CHARGE OF Rs.25,000. We have people of all ages, including children, shoot at our studio, and when smoking occurs, it’s very difficult for us to get the smell out of the studio in a timely fashion. It often takes days for the smell to go away. People can smoke outside very easily. Smoking is allowed at specified smoking areas only, unless smoking is part of a scene in your project in which case we would need to be notified and there might be a cleaning fee (upto Rs. 1,500). Projects involved with smoke have to get studio representatives’ consent. Breaking this rule in any way will result in immediate expulsion and a Rs. 25,000 fine. 

NO drinking or partying and NO large groups hanging out in the parking lot without prior permission. Renter shall not sell alcohol on premises at any time. Renter may not serve alcohol to minors on the premises at any time. Renter agrees, for everyone’s safety, to ensure alcoholic beverages are consumed in a responsible manner (if prior permission taken). We reserve the rights, in its exclusive discretion, to expel anyone who in its judgment is intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who shall in any manner do or participate in any act jeopardizing the rights, use permit, or insurability of the space or the safety of its staff, guests, or building contents.

For events where ANY alcohol is to be consumed or served, guests are required to hire a liquor licensed.

• No illegal Activity – fines apply and we have the right to remove you from the premises. No Adult film productions allowed (strictly no nudity allowed). Renter agrees to comply with all applicable city, State, and Federal laws and shall conduct 
• No illegal act on the premises.
• We do not allow for any marijuana or drug related events.

We want to make every event here a special and welcome experience. Therefore, every effort will be made to allow renters to prepare decorations reflecting their creative requirements. We ask that only our staff assist with rearranging and move any furnishings, including artwork, lighting, antiques or seating. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls, brick or fine wood. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed and in an extreme case of any wall damage, the bill on file will be charged.

Space has natural light, Natural light can be blocked out to meet your creative needs. If you use confetti, flour, chalk, etc. either you clean it before leaving the space or a Rs.500 cleaning fee will be applied.

SHOOTING THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING IS NOT ALLOWED.

Renter is solely responsible for verifying that all photographic subjects are of legal age. Studio has no responsibility to determine or verify the age of participants in the renter’s activities but reserves the right to demand proof of parental consent if models or photographic subjects are under the age of 18 and to end those activities if Company becomes aware that legal age violations are occurring. Studio is not liable in the case of an invalid ID or any other form of age verification

No unsupervised children – we allow all ages but please understand our studio has a large collection of props and items so please supervise young children at all times.

Renter shall be solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying Renter while on Company’s Premises. Renter agrees that a Company representative may, at Company’s sole discretion, be present at all times. If the representative observes or otherwise becomes aware of dangerous, pornographic, illegal or negligent practices or activities, the representative reserves the right to stop the shoot and may require Renter and Renter’s party to leave immediately. In such cases no refund will be given for unused time. However, the Company and its representatives assume no responsibility to act in such cases.

Noise is a concern as we are located in an industrial community but can be covered up through dubbing. The space is semi-private space, some noise may be heard from corridors during regular business hours. Car horns and sirens may be heard from time to time. There is a slight echo in the room, please bring a good microphone with you, we do not recommend the microphone on your phone( but people like those as well). If you would like to turn on the fans please do but please note they will make little noise. This is not a soundproof studio, and when using the facility there is a possibility of noise/distraction like music or speech.

Any music, DJ, instrumentalist, or karaoke would need to be pre-approved in advance. No loud music after 11pm.

Company agrees to rent equipment in good working order, but makes no special guarantees as to said equipment’s functionality or suitability to Renter’s purposes. Renter shall notify Company immediately of any malfunction, damage or other issues with the equipment.

No equipment shall be taken out of the premises without permission from the company representative. Renters should carry their own storage devices to copy data.

• Grace Period: All Bookings Are Subject To Desi ChalChitra Grace Period Policy Which Provides A Full Refund For Bookings Cancelled Within 24 Hours From Receipt Of A Booking Confirmation

• Flexible: Guests May Cancel Their Booking Upto 7 days Before The Shooting Start Time And Receive A 50% Refund (Excluding Fees) Of Their Booking Price. 

Some parking is available outside at owner’s risk. We recommend car pooling or using ride sharing services.

• Furniture must be moved back to where you found it. Guests must remove any equipment they bring into the space by the end of the booking. 
• Front door must be locked upon departure from the space; please make sure you get it locked by the coordinator available on-site.
• Any lighting and grip gear, wardrobe, props, or chargers left behind and are not picked up within 7 days become studio property.
